While future technology may allow us to prolong our lives indefinitely, I am pretty sure it will not happen in my lifetime. Important issues we should attend to in order to gracefully depart our loved ones include...

A proper will and testament.
Information to make our loved ones' decisions for us during our last days as easy as possible.
Directions for disposal of our corpse. (Substitute the word "body", "remains", or any other word you find preferable. For me, "corpse" helps solidify the idea that, in my own personal case, an exception to the usual rule will not be made.) Here is one environmentally friendly option.

In the meantime, as your physician and for as long as I can, I will bend every effort towards making your life as long and pleasant as possible.

To life!
